Having moved to our new site, utilising part of the existing grounds of Oberon High School, Wangala Primary School has all new purpose-built buildings, designed specifically for the growing needs of our school.
Our facilities, spread across two ample buildings, feature several spacious classrooms which are fully stocked for teaching and learning programs, two library and communal spaces, an expansive well stocked art room producing the amazing artworks lining our walls, as well as a substantial kitchen classroom. Our facilities provide students the space, equipment, and amenities to grow and learn in state-of-the-art spaces.
Outside our beautifully landscaped grounds feature two play equipment spaces, a large oval with soccer and football goals, ample court space, an outdoor amphitheatre, and a shaded sandpit. To complement our kitchen classroom, we have a kitchen garden close at hand to ensure our café program has fresh produce in stock.
Our grounds also feature our special ‘HoL Hut’, a space where our ‘Hands on Learning’ (HoL) students can construct and develop their skills. Part of our HoL space includes our ‘chook yard’ and indigenous bush tucker patch, including a greenhouse for propagation. A future project of our HoL program is to utilise an unused flora rich corner of our site to construct a ‘yarn circle’ and bush classroom.
